Teaching English as a Second Language Certificate

The TELL program equips students with the knowledge and skills to teach English to non-native speakers and bilingual learners, preparing them for certification as “Teacher of English Learners” (1562) or “Bilingual Teacher” (1561) through the Delaware Department of Education. Students gain both pedagogical expertise and intellectual foundations necessary for effective instruction in K-12 English Language Learner (ELL) or dual language immersion classrooms. The program aims to produce certified educators capable of delivering high-quality, research-based instruction to diverse student populations.
