Bachelor of Science in Liberal Studies
The Liberal Studies program offers a student-centered, interdisciplinary B.A. degree that allows students to tailor their studies to personal and professional interests. Drawing from a broad range of disciplines, including language arts, sciences, humanities, social sciences, and the arts, this program fosters critical thinking, intellectual growth, and lifelong learning. Students engage in exploring “big questions” and develop the skills needed to become independent thinkers, ready to navigate diverse perspectives and societal challenges. The flexible curriculum accommodates a variety of student backgrounds, including traditional, nontraditional, and returning students.
Minimum Admission Requirements
GPA: 2.0 minimum
Standardized testing requirement: Test optional. SAT/ACT required for merit-based scholarships; minimum SAT of 800 or ACT of 17 is automatic acceptance
English Proficiency Testing: English proficiency testing is required for 1. people whose undergraduate education was not in the US and 2. people from non-English speaking countries, and 3. non-English speakers generally. However, if a student did their undergraduate education in the U.S., then they do not need to submit a TOEFL.
