Master of Rehabilitation Counseling

Rehabilitation Counseling is a systematic process in which persons with physical, developmental, cognitive, and emotional disabilities are assisted in achieving their personal, career, and independent living goals in the most integrated settings possible through the application of the counseling process. The counseling process involves communication, goal setting, and beneficial growth or change through self-advocacy, psychological, vocational, social, and behavioral interventions. Our five semester curriculum (60 credit hours) prepares students to become competent rehabilitation counselors.The online program offers Asynchronous and Synchronous intensive coursework as well as practicum and internship experiences

Minimum Admission Requirements

GPA: 2.5 or higher (undergrad transcript)

Standradized testing requirement: No score requirement

English Proficiency Testing: TOEFL/IELTS/DuoLingo

Level of education attainment required: Bachelor's degree

An applicant who meets the requirements for admission to a degree program, but who lacks the Graduate Writing Competency Test (GWCT), will be allowed to enroll for ONE SEMESTER ONLY. If a degree-seeking student’s file is not completed by the end of the initial term of enrollment, registration for the next term will not be permitted.
