Meet the growing need for special education teachers in elementary school with our 100% online Master of Arts in Teaching Special Education Mild/Moderate in Elementary (1st-5th) degree and licensure program. The Master of Arts in Teaching Elementary Education & Special Education Mild Moderate (1st-5th) in the College of Education & Human Development is a Graduate Alternate Certification designed for individuals who have non-education bachelor’s or master’s degrees and are interested in seeking initial teacher certification in Mild/Moderate Special Education at the elementary education level. Students who enroll in this program can become certified in both Elementary Education and Special Education Mild/Moderate at the elementary level. Coursework is available 100% online with extensive field experience in the community.
