Doctor of Social Work (DSW)

School: Delaware State University - DSU

Grounded in HBCU traditions, Delaware State University’s Doctor of Social Work (DSW) Program prepares seasoned social work professionals- especially from first-generation and historically underrepresented communities- to excel as practitioners-scholars and leaders in equitable, practice-informed social change. Anchored in CSWE-endorsed values of dignity, inclusion, and scientific inquiry, Delaware State University’s DSW Program cultivates innovators in leadership, teaching, research, and systemic justice at all levels-micro, mezzo, and macro. Students will enroll in one course at a time, over the course of three years, and will complete primarily asynchronous coursework with a required live component during each course. Students may choose to complete this live requirement via technology (synchronously) or through two Saturday on-campus class meetings.
