BA Psychology
The Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology online program aligns with the Strategic Plan for Online Programs for Southern University at New Orleans (SUNO) to “expand our academic footprint” and provide educational resources that are easily accessible and affordable. This program will be part of SUNO Online and offer affordable tuition with minimal fees. This program will effectively prepare students to:
- Develop an understanding of the critical literature in psychology and its application to clinical populations and case management.
- Prepare participants for entry into advanced graduate studies in Psychology, Mental Health, and Addiction Counseling
- Prepare and train participants for immediate entry into professional areas such as:
- Mental Health Professional
- Medical and Health Services Manager
- Suicide and Trauma Risk Interventionist
- Behavior Specialist
Clinical Case Manager
- Prepare students for earning certifications from professional organizations such as Louisiana Addictive Disorder Regulatory Authority (LA-ADRA)
