ONLINE ADJUNCT FACULTY-ROLLING POOL (Fully Online Programs)

POSITION SUMMARY
The eHBCU Consortium invites applications for inclusion in a Rolling Online Adjunct Faculty Pool to
support fully online undergraduate and graduate programs offered by participating eHBCU Partner
Institutions.
We seek qualified faculty committed to academic excellence, student engagement, and access. Adjunct
faculty will deliver high-quality, student-centered instruction in an online learning environment and
support diverse student populations, including adult, first-generation, and non-traditional learners.
This is a part-time, per-course appointment. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis to meet
ongoing and future instructional needs. Inclusion in the adjunct pool does not guarantee immediate
assignment.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Teach assigned undergraduate and/or graduate courses in a fully online format.
• Deliver instruction aligned with approved curriculum and established student learning outcomes
• Facilitate regular and substantive interaction with students in accordance with federal and accreditation standards
• Evaluate student work and provide timely constructive feedback
• Maintain accurate grading and participation records in the Learning Management System (LMS)
• Hold virtual office hours and respond to student communications within established institutional timeframes
• Support student persistence and academic integrity
• Participate in required training, assessment, and quality assurance activities
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Undergraduate Instruction:
• Master’s degree in the teaching discipline OR
• Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline
Graduate Instruction:• Terminal degree in the teaching discipline or closely related field (e.g., Ph.D., Ed.D., DBA. DNP,
MFA, or equivalent), consistent with accreditation standards
All degrees must be earned from regionally accredited institutions or recognized international equivalents.
Faculty qualifications must meet the requirements of the applicable regional accreditor (e.g., SACSCOC,
Middle State, HLC Comprehensive Standard or other relevant accreditor), including
documented academic preparation appropriate to assigned teaching responsibilities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Prior teaching experience in higher education
• Online teaching experience
• Experience working with diverse and non-traditional student populations
• Proficiency with Canvas or comparable Learning Management Systems
APPOINTMENT DETAILS
• Part-Time, Per-Credit Hour
• Remote/Online Instruction
• Course assignments are contingent upon enrollment, program demand, budget approval, and
successful credential verification
• Adjunct appointments are term-limited and non-tenure track
