How to Apply
Your HBCU journey starts here. Let’s walk through it together.
We offer flexible online degree and certificate programs across a range of high-impact fields—from business and healthcare to design and education. Take time to explore what fits your interests, your schedule, and your goals. Whether you’re returning to finish what you started or starting fresh, we’ve got options for every path.
Each eHBCU partner school sets its own admissions criteria. Some programs may require previous transcripts, test scores, or a short essay. Certificate programs typically have no prerequisites and allow you to start right away. Our application is streamlined and designed to help you focus on what matters most—telling your story, not checking boxes.
Our enrollment team is here to support you before, during, and after you apply. Join a virtual info session, attend a webinar, or schedule a one-on-one call with an advisor who can help answer your questions. Whether you’re figuring out your best-fit program or need help with your FAFSA, we’ve got you.
eHBCU accepts applications year-round, with most schools offering multiple start dates in the Fall, Spring, and Summer. Plan your timeline based on when you’re ready to begin. Certificate programs may have rolling admissions and faster entry points.
Depending on your program, you may need to upload transcripts or test scores. Don’t worry—we accept unofficial transcripts to get your application moving. If your school or program requires more, we’ll follow up with clear next steps. If you need support requesting records, we can guide you through it.
You can apply to one or more eHBCU programs through a single application. Submit everything you can now—then return to your portal later to upload additional materials if needed. If you’re applying for a certificate program, you can often enroll and begin immediately without additional documentation.
After you submit your application, we’ll email you a link to your Applicant Portal. This is where you’ll track your checklist, receive updates, upload any final materials, and view your admissions decision.
If you’re a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, complete the FAFSA and list your selected HBCU partner school(s). You’ll automatically be considered for federal aid, grants, and school-based scholarships. Not sure how to get started? Our advisors will walk you through every step.
