About eHBCU
Frequently Asked questions
eHBCU is a digital education platform that connects students with online degree and certificate programs offered by partner Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
eHBCU itself is not a college or university, but all programs are delivered through accredited HBCU partners. You earn your credential directly from the institution you enroll in.
eHBCU serves a wide range of learners—first-year students, returning adults, career changers, certificate seekers, and anyone looking for a flexible, culturally affirming online experience.
eHBCU is built on the legacy of HBCUs and centered around Black student success. It offers a supportive community, culturally relevant programs, and pathways designed for real-life learners.
Founding partners include Delaware State University, Alabama State University, Pensole Lewis College of Business & Design, Southern University and A&M College (Baton Rouge), Southern University at Shreveport, and Southern University at New Orleans. Additional HBCUs continue to join as the platform expands.
